Who is responsible for your information?
Vikki Stuart, trading as Coastal Balance Bookkeeping, is responsible for the personal information collected through this website.
You can ask a privacy question by emailing [email protected].
What is collected?
The enquiry form asks for your name, email address, business type and a short description of the help you need. These details are required so Vikki can understand and respond to your enquiry. You can also choose to provide a business name, phone number, VAT status and general details about your records, software and whether you already have an accountant.
The website also receives limited technical information, such as an IP address and browser security signals, to protect the form from spam and misuse.
Why is it used?
Your information is used to read and respond to your enquiry, understand the work you may need, and take steps you have requested before deciding whether to work together. Technical information is used to keep the form and website secure.
The relevant lawful bases are taking steps at your request before a possible contract and the legitimate interest in responding to genuine enquiries and protecting the service from misuse.
Who receives it?
Your enquiry is delivered to Coastal Balance Bookkeeping's Microsoft 365 mailbox. The website hosting provider and Cloudflare Turnstile also process the limited information needed to run and protect the form. These providers may process information in countries outside the UK using their own legal safeguards.
Your details are not sold and are not used for unrelated marketing.
How long is it kept?
Enquiries are kept only for as long as reasonably needed to respond, decide whether to work together, maintain necessary business records, and deal with legal or service questions. Information that is no longer needed is deleted.
Your choices and rights
You can ask for access to your personal information, ask for inaccurate information to be corrected, or ask for information to be deleted or its use restricted where the law allows. You may also object to some uses of your information.
Contact Coastal Balance Bookkeeping first so the issue can be looked into. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
Before sending an enquiry
Please do not put bank details, passwords, tax references or copies of financial records in the website form. A suitable way to share documents can be agreed separately if needed.
